Celebrities Tee Off to raise £10,000 for Charity

Bradford & Bingley International (BBI) in Douglas were once again principal sponsors of this year's Sir Norman Wisdom Wooden Spoon Celebrity Golf Day and Gala Dinner.

A number of recognised names took part in the event, including Former World Snooker Champion Dennis Taylor, Sky motor sports pundit Steve Parrish, former World Boxing Champion John Stracey, Paul Boardman, Shel MacRae and Danny Roman from the show biz world. The evening was hosted by Liverpudlian comedian Stan Boardman and included an auction, raffle and performances from a number of famous faces.

BBI MD John Pearson said "This year's Wooden Spoon event was another resounding success. The work put in by the organising committee is immense and they should be proud of their achievements. BBI is delighted to have once again been the major sponsor for this event. Everything from the golf registration to the gala dinner was perfect, and more importantly raised lots of money for a worthwhile cause."
