Local charity gets a 'Changing Rooms' make-over
Staff from Bradford & Bingley International (BBI) in Douglas, recently donned their overalls and took up their paintbrushes to help local charity Victim Support re-decorate their office.
In true 'Changing Rooms' style, 10 staff from Bradford & Bingley International started the painting and decorating on Thursday evening and worked through the weekend to complete the project. They were assisted by Osborn Carpets who supplied and fitted new carpeting for free and Malcolm Cafearo who undertook all of the joinery work free of charge.
Commenting on this latest initiative BBI's Community Affairs Manager George Campbell said: "I am extremely grateful to the team who gave up their weekend to work on this project. Seeing the reaction of Paula and her team at Victim Support on Monday morning was a great reward for all their hard work. Financial assistance is of course vital to our local charities, but sometimes practical support can be just as important and we were delighted to be able to help Victim Support in this way."
