4. Data Protection and Privacy
4.1 Bradford & Bingley International is a data controller within the meaning of the Isle of Man Data Protection Act 2002 and has given notice to the Isle of Man Data Protection Supervisor thereunder.
4.2 Information you supply to us about yourself through this Website or otherwise may be held on computer and used for administration, research, analysis and keeping you informed of financial and related products or services.
4.3 Your information may also be used to send you details of new products or services provided by the Group. We may keep your information for a reasonable period to contact you about our services. 4.4 Information you supply to us about yourself through the website or otherwise may be disclosed to the appropriate authority in the event of a suspicion of money laundering, or will be disclosed as required by a ruling by a Manx Court of law.
4.5 In the event that you are concerned about the personal data that Bradford & Bingley International holds about you, you have the right to request a copy of that data and to have it corrected if it is inaccurate. You may write to us at the above address marking the letter for the attention of the Risk & Compliance Manager and he/she will contact you with the information on how to request a copy of your personal data. A fee may be payable.
4.6 We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online. You hereby accept the inherent security implications of disclosing your information on-line over the internet and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security.
4.7 When you e-mail us, that e-mail will be passed over the internet and will be processed by computer servers which are outside the control of Bradford & Bingley International. We therefore cannot guarantee the privacy of any e-mail that you send to us. We advise that you do not send us account information or information of a sensitive nature via email.
