Bradford & Bingley International Limited (BBIL) has been part of the Santander Group since 2008. Since that time, Bradford & Bingley International continued to use the Bradford & Bingley name under a trademark licence agreement.
At the end of September 2011 that trademark licence expires and in anticipation of this, the business of BBIL has been transferred to our sister company, Alliance & Leicester International Limited (ALIL). ALIL is an Isle of Man incorporated company, also owned by Santander UK plc and based in the Isle of Man.
We wrote to all BBIL customers in early May 2011 to advise them of the intention to transfer the business of BBIL to ALIL and from the date of the transfer (5 August 2011) customers of BBIL became customers of ALIL.
ALIL is regulated by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission and has won many awards over the years, including Moneyfacts’ Best Offshore Account Provider in 2010 and 2011.
